The long weekend is coming! What are you doing to re-energize? How will you recharge your battery?
I read a study last week about what companies are doing to create addiction to video games, Netflix, Facebook etc. It spoke how the best social psychologists in the world are hired to create content that is addicting and how they are in the business of creating “happiness”. They create this so called “happiness” by stimulating the brain to release endorphins connected with happiness.
I know for some relaxing and recharging may involve sitting back and binge watching a show. I challenge you to realize that in order to truly re-charge you need to consider your physical, emotional, mental and spiritual energy and how you can recharge each of these.
Physical- go for a walk
Emotional- spend time connecting with people you love
Mental- take time to mediate or reflect
Spiritual- do something that has meaning
While watching a show can be a part of your weekend to truly recharge and re-energize you need to consider ways to impact your energy.
